The Opportunity
Reporting to the Software Development Program Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the management of the LRSMT software development and support project.
This position is a Full Time, Permanent opportunity based in either Canberra or Brisbane.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Software Development Program Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the management of the LRSMT software development and support project.
This position is a Full Time, Permanent opportunity based in either Canberra or Brisbane.
In This Position You Will Have Responsibility Of
- Effective management of software development and support project(s).
- Customer relationship management ensuring alignment on scope, schedule and other expectations.
- Coordination of escalated support tasking within the software development team.
- Ensure a governance framework set within the LRSMT Project Brief is delivered.
- Develop and update all project reporting, including:
- Regular Project Briefs and Reports are completed/updated to meet Software Development Program Manager timelines.
- Management of project risks, issues and action items registers.
- Coordinating and documenting (calendar invites, agenda, minutes, action items etc) meetings, PMRs, and other ad hoc meetings.
- Engage with stakeholders to establish agreement and commonality in understanding of system requirements, progress, issues and outcomes.
- Day to day management of LRSMT development team personnel including leave applications, performance reviews etc.
- Management and application of Company policies, HR policies and other HR related issues.
- Other activities as required to support Software Development Program Manager.
- Contribute to the delivery of organisation Strategy initiatives and objectives.
- Min 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager / Delivery Lead
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Agile software development and/or project management process
- Ability to manage and prioritise tasks and workflow
- Ability to review and recommend improvements to procedures and systems
- Experience leading Software project delivery (including knowledge of Systems and Software Engineering- MIL-STD-498) (desirable)
- Experience working in / with ADF in an aviation or range safety environment (desirable)
- Knowledge of Defence acquisition and sustainment project processes (desirable)
- Experience working in Microsoft stack eg Azure Dev Ops, or similar (desirable)
- Knowledge of Military Environment and Chain of Command (desirable)
