Network Security Engineer

We are looking for a Medior/Senior Security Engineer for a long term mission In Evere Belgium

The new security consultant will need to have a technical networking background, and a technical side of security (we do not need a security/governance officer), translating architecture into design.

Preferable knowledge on firewalls, VPN, hardware technical side, hands-on experience and solid knowledge in network.

Within the Security Management team, we are looking for a Medior/Senior Security Engineer to support one of our Affiliates

As a Medior/Senior Security Engineer, you are responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the organization's cybersecurity posture.

Your Profile:

• 3–10 years of experience in cybersecurity roles (Medior: 3+, Senior: 7+)

• Certified in one or more: CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CEH, CCSP, or equivalent is a plus

• Certified in one or more : CCNA, CCNP, Arista ACE, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, Fortinet NSE 4-7 or equivalent is a plus

• Solid understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies

• Experience securing hybrid infrastructures (on-prem, cloud, media-specific systems)

• Knowledge of broadcast media environments and video-over-IP is a strong asset

• Demonstrated skills in incident detection, analysis, and response

• Experience with Cisco, Checkpoint and Fortinet Firewall, Arista security-enabled networking products is a strong plus

• Familiarity with automation/scripting for security (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Your Role:

• Design and implement secure network, system, and application architectures aligned with industry best practices.

• Perform continuous vulnerability management and patch management.

• Define and enforce firewall, network, endpoint, and cloud security policies.

• Collaborate with the internal CSIRT to enhance detection.

• Maintain compliance with relevant security standards (e.g., ISO27001, NIS2, GDPR).

• Support internal and external audits, including documentation and remediation tracking.

• Participate in change and incident management processes to ensure secure implementations.

You are occasionally available to handle critical security tasks or incidents outside of standard business hours (estimated 2–3 times per year).

• Fluent in English, with conversational ability in French or Dutch preferred

• Based in Belgium, hybrid working 3 days/week at the office.

Office presence: 3 days/week, Thursday Evere, another day Evere, Tuesday BE Central, 2 days from home.
