Network Engineer

We’re a leading provider of managed cloud services, running infrastructure in our own data centers and across platforms like Azure and AWS. To support our continued growth, we’re looking for a Network Engineer to help design, deploy, and manage our network systems.

In this hands-on, impactful position, you’ll use cutting-edge technologies to advance and automate our networking landscape — from BGP Anycast and high-availability firewalls to DWDM-based backend connectivity. You’ll also have the opportunity to grow your expertise and contribute to innovation in a collaborative and agile team.

Our team includes around 70 talented colleagues dedicated to building cloud infrastructures that power the digital success of our customers. Our client portfolio includes notable names such as VW, E.ON, Ernst Klett Verlag, GLS Bank, and many medium-sized businesses and digital agencies.

Your Impact

• You’ll design, implement, and manage network hardware and configurations within our cloud and data center environments.
• You’ll work directly in our data centers and handle occasional on-site hardware setup and upgrades.
• You’ll take part in customer-focused projects involving multi-site BGP Anycast, high-availability firewalling, and DWDM-connected systems.
• You’ll help troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, propose new solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
• You’ll ensure stable, secure, and high-performing networks using technologies like BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and firewall solutions.
• You’ll use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or scripting to streamline deployments and standardize processes.
• You’ll actively engage with internal stakeholders and customers to deliver tailored network solutions.
• You’ll be available for occasional on-call support and maintenance outside of regular hours.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in the networking domain, especially in problem-solving and security.
• Strong understanding of Routing & Switching (Juniper, Cisco, or HPE).
• Practical experience with Firewalling & VPN technologies (e.g., IPsec, NAT, packet filtering, remote access).
• Bonus: Knowledge of IaC (Ansible, Terraform), scripting (Python, Bash), or public cloud (AWS, Azure).
• Preferred certifications: JNCIA/JNCIS, CCNA, or similar.
• Valid Class B driver’s license (for data center work).
• Curiosity and drive to keep learning, with an open mind to different vendors and modern technologies.
