Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a prominent financial services organization based in Galway, Ireland. This exciting opportunity sits within the TechOps SRE team, and we're seeking someone who combines deep technical knowledge with practical experience in modern DevOps tools and practices.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and support the DevOps function in enhancing and evolving automation frameworks.
• Manage and administer Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal availability and performance.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
• Champion the use of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Helm Charts to standardize infrastructure provisioning and management.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment.
• Proven experience building and deploying Docker images.
• Background migrating workloads from container services (e.g., ECS) to Kubernetes, ideally on AWS EKS.
• Strong production experience managing Kubernetes workloads and maintaining EKS clusters.
• Experience with Confluent or Kafka.
• Skilled in creating and deploying Helm charts and reusable Helm libraries.
• Practical expertise in Jenkins Core, including developing and maintaining declarative CI/CD pipelines and shared libraries.
