AI Linguist (Freelance – Portugal)

Job Description:
We are looking for native Portuguese speakers located in Portugal, who are skilled AI Linguists, to support an AI training project focused on audio data annotation and evaluation. The role involves comparing short audio clips and providing detailed feedback on quality, pronunciation, and nativeness.

This is a potential vacancy, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a qualification stage, which consists of a short quiz or a few tasks within the client tool. This step is designed to confirm that candidates have read and understood the provided guidelines and can accurately follow instructions within the platform.

This is a freelance, remote position ideal for someone with a strong linguistic background, excellent English skills, and previous experience in AI-related projects.

Location: Remote (must be based in Portugal)

Key Responsibilities:

• Annotate and compare audio clips with attention to linguistic detail
• Evaluate and provide consistent feedback on the clarity, fluency, and naturalness of speech
• Follow task-specific guidelines and meet quality and productivity targets
  
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Must be native Portuguese speaker based in Portugal
• Fluent in English (C1–C2 or native)
• At least 1 year of experience in AI/ML projects, preferably involving data annotation or labeling
• Strong logical and analytical skills
• Must have your own headphones and a reliable internet connection
  
  
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, or language-related fields
