Job Description
Job’s Mission
- As HR Generalist, you will support the implementation of HR strategies that align with Santen’s business goals and EMEA-wide processes. You will shape local HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and meet regional needs.
- The HR Generalist will manage daily HR operations, including employee lifecycle activities, data accuracy, payroll coordination, and labor law compliance—ensuring smooth and efficient HR service delivery across Germany & East Europe cluster.
- The main focus will lay on EEU (Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria & Hungary) with a supporting role for the German market.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Management: Oversee and coordinate the monthly payroll process
- Data Management: Maintain, review, and update employee data in SuccessFactors
- Recruitment: Define hiring needs, interview and assess candidates and ensure a seamless candidate experience and efficient onboarding.
- Performance Management: Lead the annual performance review cycle, ensuring smooth execution through clear communication, training support, and guidance
- Labor Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for managers and employees, providing guidance while working closely with local payroll providers or legal counseling
- Employee Support: Act as a trusted partner for employees.
- HR Initiatives: Drive and support key HR initiatives aligned with business priorities.
- Budget & Cost Management: Support annual headcount and personnel expense planning in close collaboration with line manager and business partners.
- Must have 3 years of experience in a similar HR function
- General knowledge of employment laws and practices as well as social security regulations
- Interview techniques
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs
- Translate corporate HR strategies to align with local country needs and team objectives.
- Act as a change agent, drive change effectively, and navigate ambiguity and complexity.
- Embody and promote Santen’s culture and values.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of business needs and develop HR solutions accordingly.
- Serve as a role model for clear, effective communication.
- Demonstrate strong implementation skills, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Organizational Development
- Business fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
- Fluency in Polish is essential for local operations, German language skills beneficial
- Additional language skills are a plus
