Automation Engineer

Leap29 are supporting our client in the search for an experienced Automation Engineer to join their Stavanger team. This is a great opportunity to work with complex control systems and be part of a leading organisation within industrial automation and digitalisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, configure and maintain automation systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA)
• Participate in modification and upgrade projects across oil & gas and energy sectors
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimise system performance
• Provide technical support during commissioning and handover
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to technical documentation

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in automation, electrical, or similar engineering discipline
• Solid experience with ABB, Siemens, Schneider, or similar systems
• Familiarity with Norwegian offshore standards is an advantage (but not essential)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
• Fluent in English (Norwegian is a bonus)
