Job Purpose:


The Technical Writer Support Analyst is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation to support the IT Development and Architecture function. This includes system design documents, API documentation, user manuals, SOPs, technical specifications, and knowledgebase articles. The Technical Writer works closely with software developers, solution architects, system analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency of technical communications across the organization.


Resposibilities:


•Draft, edit, and maintain technical documentation including Software architecture and design documents, API references and integration guides, User manuals, quick-start guides, and FAQs, System deployment and configuration instructions, and Technical standard operating procedures (SOPs)

•Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.

•Collaborate with developers, architects, testers, and business analysts to gather and verify technical information.

•Attend sprint planning meetings, technical reviews, and demos to capture evolving system features and updates.

•Partner with DevOps and Security teams to document deployment processes, infrastructure configurations, and compliance-related procedures.

•Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency across all materials.

•Ensure documentation is version-controlled and aligned with application and system lifecycle changes.

•Review and update outdated documentation regularly to reflect system upgrades and architectural changes.

•Maintain structured repositories for documentation (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, Git-based wikis).

•Support the creation of internal knowledge base articles and developer portals.

•Ensure that documentation is searchable, accessible, and indexed for easy retrieval by relevant teams.

•Create visual aids (e.g., diagrams, flowcharts, infographics) to support documentation where appropriate.

•Support the IT Architecture team in developing internal training material or presentations when rolling out new systems or processes.

•Promote awareness and proper usage of documentation among IT and business stakeholders.

•Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.

•Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.


Requirements :


A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a technical writing or documentation role within IT, software development, or enterprise architecture.

Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC, Agile, DevOps) and enterprise IT environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.

Certification in Technical Writing (e.g., Microsoft, Google, or STC) is an advantage.
