We are working with a growing Software Development business near Liverpool who are looking for a PHP Developer to join their team. This PHP Developer role will see you designing, building and maintaining saleable, high-performance backend systems. You will be working closely with Front-end developers, product managers and other PHP Developers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain APIs and backend systems using PHP and Laravel
• Refactor and support legacy PHP codebases
• Write clean, testable, and modular code following best practices
• Optimize database queries and backend logic for performance
• Implement secure authentication and data access
• Integrate APIs with front-end teams for seamless UX
• Perform unit, feature, and integration testing

Requirements:

• 2+ years of backend development experience with PHP and Laravel
• Proficient in SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and query optimization
• TDD experience
• Happy to work in the office for probation before moving to Hybrid (3 days onsite)
• Full right to work in the UK
