We are seeking a Node.js Developer to join our team.

This position involves creating new microservices and advancing existing ones within a robust, service-oriented architecture.

Responsibilities

Design Node.js microservices for a scalable retail platform
Develop features to improve performance, scalability, and functionality of current services
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in an Agile setup
Write unit and API tests using Mocha, Chai, Sinon, Supertest
Apply modern practices such as Git flow, code linting, formatting, and process management
Work with SQL databases using Sequelize ORM and MySQL
Ensure high application performance, quality, and responsiveness
Adopt best practices for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation

Requirements

Residence in Ukraine (remote work allowed for Ukrainian-based candidates)
2+ years of professional experience in application development using Node.js
Background in JavaScript with ES6, HTML5, and CSS
Proficiency in Express.js and asynchronous coding techniques like Promises/async-await
Experience with Docker, PM2, and logging tools such as Bunyan
Understanding of microservices architecture, design patterns, and optimization methods
Familiarity with Agile team setups and workflows
Competency in TypeScript implementation
Skills in Git usage and SemVer strategies
English proficiency at level B2 or higher

Nice to have

Knowledge of Angular for front-end projects
Understanding of CI/CD workflows and DevOps methodologies
Expertise in ESLint (Airbnb-base) and Prettier for maintaining code standards
Background in front-end engineering or fullstack development
