Ritchie Bros., the world’s largest auctioneer of commercial assets and vehicles, is now looking for a Junior Software Developer to join their Mascus team – a key part of RB Global’s product family!

Key responsibilities

As a Junior Software Developer, you will join Mascus’ international development team and work in a small, collaborative group focused on enhancing and maintaining the inventory management system and developing the new webshop platform. The team consists of skilled professionals working together to deliver and evolve Mascus' digital platforms.

In this role, you will contribute to technical implementation across both frontend and backend, helping to improve existing features and build new ones using technologies such as C#, .NET, SQL, and React. You’ll follow modern development practices, write clean and maintainable code, and work with version control and ticketing tools to manage your daily tasks. You will also participate in team discussions, contribute your ideas, and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills grow.

You don’t need to have years of professional experience – what matters most is your eagerness to learn, your curiosity, and your ability to take initiative in a remote-first environment. Your technical strengths can be more frontend- or backend-focused, but we especially value fullstack skills or the willingness to develop them over time.

We hope you have:

• Relevant degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or equivalent
• Some hands-on project experience (personal, academic, or internship) with C#, .NET, SQL and/or React
• Motivation to work across the stack and eagerness to grow your technical skills
• A proactive mindset, self-discipline in remote work, and willingness to take initiative
• Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English

We consider as an asset:

• Experience or familiarity with Microsoft WebForms

Practicalities:

In this full-time and permanent position, you will be employed directly by Ritchie Bros. The start time in the role is as soon as possible. You can work remotely, but we hope you are able to visit the Helsinki office a couple of times per month to meet your team and colleagues. As you will be working with the US-based teams and projects, we hope you have the flexibility to participate in meetings at around 5-7 pm Finnish time when needed. The base salary in this position ranges between 2500-3000 €/month and will be negotiated individually.
