We are currently seeking an experienced Product Developer to fill a permanent position in Cheeses and Fats – team. Would you be a perfect fit to our group of ambitious individuals, setting off for the next great Valio innovation?

You will be a part of the innovative team that manages development process of matured cheeses, cottage cheeses, cream cheeses, butter and fats, therefore expertise in dairy/cheese technologies as well as previous experience in product development related tasks are highly appreciated. You will work closely with the whole NPD team to strategize and execute product plans within agreed time schedule. Our project teams consist of specialists from R&D and other Valio functions such as Business Unit, Production and Procurement.

We expect from you:

• MSc or appropriate degree in a relevant science field (dairy, food science/technology)
• Experience in food product development
• Experience in cheeses and fats technologies and manufacturing
• Ideally you have experience of food industry in the areas of product/process development, ingredient/technology research, recipe and product formulation, specification development, analytical measurements, scale-up and commercialization
• Eagerness for teamwork in different projects
• Customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset
• Adaptability, creativity and collaboration skills
• Ability and willingness to travel (mainly in Finland)
• Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English
