Temporary Work Student Data Scientist (20 hours per week)
We are immediately looking for a Part-time Work Student Jr. Data Scientist (20 hours, hybrid) in Amsterdam for one of our international customers that is known for its ice cream.
Are you currently in the final phase of your Master's degree program in Data Science, Econometrics, or a closely related field or recently graduated (a must)? Do you have familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks)? Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)? Offer
- Temporary agency contract via Grafton for 20 hours per week
- Start date: 1 September 2025
- End date: 31 January 2026
- Salary depending on experience: between € 3500-€ 4000 gross per month based on 40 hours excluding travel allowance; excluding 5% for ADV days; work from home allowance of € 2,40.

Job purpose
We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to support the data science team in developing and implementing analytical models. This role is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment, contribute to impactful projects, and enhance your skills in data science and analytics. You will work with large datasets to uncover trends, create predictive models, and help shape our data strategy.
Main responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of data tooling to solve business challenges.
- Utilize Python and SQL to perform data extraction, transformation, cleaning, and analysis.
- Help Shape our tooling for Multi Agent AI Systems using Databricks.
- Support the team in building and deploying machine learning models on our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data science workflows and best practices.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to approach problems logically and creatively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- A genuine passion for data science and a desire to learn and grow.
