Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a Lead Developer (Unity) to join our dynamic team. You will be driving the development of our cutting-edge VR products, manage a team of talented developers, and be integral in shaping the technological vision of our projects. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.

What will you do?

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of the technical side of the immersive experiences we produce. Designing scalable, robust and high-performance solutions.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, integration and delivery as well as documentation.
• Oversee the development lifecycle from concept through deployment, ensuring timely delivery of features.
• Collaborate closely with product managers with regards to deadlines and resource management.
• Work together with artists and designers to ensure alignment and integration of all components.
• Oversee resource allocation and prioritize initiatives, balancing speed and quality to meet project demands.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies, and drive innovation within the team.
  
  

Requirements

️ Must have hard skills

• 6+ years of experience as a Unity developer, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and architectures.
• Proven experience working on live products.
• Solid understanding of client-server architecture and topologies.
• Hands-on experience in XR applications development.
• Proficiency with version control systems.
• Familiarity with multiplayer/networked application development, including both server-side and client-side programming.
• Skilled in reviewing code written by other developers via Pull Requests or similar processes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead a team effectively.
• Proactive problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong experience working with Agile development methodologies.

You will have a Big Plus if you are familiar with:

• Knowledge of Game Backend services.
• Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs.
• Interest or experience in AI-driven software development.
• Familiarity with art pipelines for VR.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Asset Management Strategies.
• Experience with live development platforms such as Unity Gaming Services or similar.
