Senior C/C++/Linux Software Engineer

IxOS stands at the core of Keysight IxOS chassis providing the operating systems and services required for network testing applications such as IxNetwork, IxLoad and BreakingPoint to run successfully. We develop and maintain the current infrastructure while we look forward for new technologies.

Skills:

• Broad technical knowledge of the Linux operating system;
• Proven track of technical leadership for scalable / distributed software system solution;
• Master C (user-space/kernel) and C++ programming languages;
• Master user space and Linux Kernel debugging techniques for complex system wide issues;
• Strong algorithms/data structures knowledge ;
• Strong multithreading programming knowledge;
• Strong knowledge of Linux drivers/kernel modules programming. Hardware related device driver and networking stack are considered a plus;
• Good knowledge of scripting programming (bash/python);
• Knowledge of Linux containers / Kubernetes;
• Experience with STL and Boost 3rd party libraries;
• Ability to quickly learn and grasp new technologies;
• Desire and ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Performance driven and having a proactive attitude;
• 5+ plus experience in the industry;

Bonus skills

• Windows OS programming knowledge is a plus
• C#, Java knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for complex projects;
• Interact with various stakeholders to understand requirements and design the appropriate solutions;
• Hands-on work in terms of contributing code to existing solutions;
• Develop new prototypes and evaluate new technologies;
• Constantly review code changes being added to ensure the overall design requirements are meet;
• Advocate a collaborative model by providing mentorship, knowledge sharing with the rest of the team and ensuring all team members are listen to as they may have more context in some areas;
• Investigate and fix complex issues, such as system performance issues, resource usage issues, out of memory conditions and crashes, etc.;
• Technical documentation, reports, and diagrams;
