Senior Frontend Developer

At a glance

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with 7+ years of experience to join our team and contribute to the development and support of the Emerald Design System, ensuring that all components are user-friendly across the bank's websites.

Your job

As part of the Emerald team, you will:

• Develop user interfaces with a focus on functionality and accessibility.
• Work with components built using Lit for our old brand identity, and PrimeVue and Tailwind for the new brand identity.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with UX designers, iOS and Android developers, product owner, and business analyst to ensure consistent delivery across all platforms.
• Build and maintain the design system website, which presents components and guidelines using Vue, Storybook, and headless CMS - Contentful.
• Perform code reviews with a focus on improving code quality.
• Find technical solutions to complex problems, further enhancing the robustness of our design system.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced developers.
• Support other teams in their usage of Emerald 1.0 and Emerald 2.0, providing knowledge-sharing sessions and ensuring they can effectively integrate its components into their workflows.
• Work with infrastructure tools such as Azure pipelines, Azure Storage accounts, etc.

Working environment

You'll be part of the Emerald team in the Digital Channels and Capabilities grid (DCC). You will work together with fun and hardworking coworkers from both the Netherlands and Poland, reflecting the diverse and dynamic nature of our team. Your manager will be a frontend Chapter Lead, who will support you in your personal and technical development.

Your profile

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Vue 3 and Tailwind.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (Azure is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching team members.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Vitest and Playwright.
• Familiarity with Storybook
  
  
  

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with PrimeVue.
• Familiarity with design tokens and developing design systems.
• Knowledge of accessibility

• An excellent salary (scale 10 of our CLA)
• 25 vacation days based on 40 hours (with the possibility to buy more vacation days)
