Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer with a strong background in service provider (satellite) networks. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex network and security infrastructures across multi-vendor environments. This role involves hands-on responsibility in infrastructure planning, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, along with project and stakeholder management.

Certifications (Minimum Required):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications or Computer Science
• CCIE – Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
• NSE 7 or 8 – Fortinet Network Security Expert
• Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) Engineer

Technical Skills:

Core Network & Security:

• 10+ years in Service Provider (Satellite) network environments
• Expertise in network and security design and traffic flow diagram preparation (L2/L3)
• Extensive experience with multivendor routers and switches (Cisco, Aruba, HP, Juniper, Arista, Extreme, Huawei)
• Strong experience in Wi-Fi solutions (Aruba WLC, APs, ClearPass, Airwave)
• 8+ years’ experience with firewall technologies (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA)
• Proficiency with load balancers and CGN solutions (A10, Barracuda, F5)

Infrastructure & Datacenter:

• Experience with cable routing, preparation, rack elevations, and physical installations
• IP Address Management (IPAM) and cable connectivity database preparation
• Data center infrastructure management, firmware upgrades/downgrades
• Bandwidth planning and adjustments (upgrades/downgrades)

Cloud, Virtualization & DPI:

• 8+ years with AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Strong skills in virtualization platforms (Nutanix, VMware)
• Experience with deep packet inspection engines (Sandvine, Allot)

Protocols & Technologies:

• Expertise in:
• Routing & Tunneling: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VPLS, MPLS, VXLAN, SDWAN, RIP, IPSEC, GRE, SSL VPN
• QoS & Security: Traffic engineering, NAT, RADIUS, LDAP, SAML
• Network Services: SNMP, NTP, STP
• Fortinet tools: FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator

Automation & Monitoring:

• 5+ years of experience with network automation and scripting (Ansible, Python, Terraform)
• Experience with monitoring tools like Cacti, PRTG, SolarWinds, Grafana

Documentation & Compliance:

• High proficiency in creating and maintaining documentation:
• HLD, LLD, SOW, ATP, AS-BUILT, RFP, RFI
• Operational documentation for NOC
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ISO 27001 readiness
• Hands-on involvement in project planning, testing, and deployment
• Experience training operations and project teams

Soft Skills:

• Willingness to work 24/7 physically onsite or on-call
• Ready to travel between offices in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain
• Ability to meet tight operational and project deadlines
• Positive, transparent, and collaborative team player
• Strong communication and presentation skills with internal teams and external stakeholders
