PHP Developer – Hybrid (2 Days On-Site in Preston)

Salary: up to £40,000 DOE

Are you a passionate PHP Developer looking to join a collaborative team and work on exciting, high-impact projects? We’re seeking a skilled developer to join our client’s growing team in Preston.

About the Role:

As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining dynamic web applications and APIs. You’ll collaborate closely with the product, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance user experience and support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable PHP applications using modern frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
• Build and optimise RESTful APIs for seamless integrations.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to implement user-facing features.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring clean, secure, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain high application performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a PHP Developer (3+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of PHP 7/8 and MySQL.
• Experience with MVC frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, or similar).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Good understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with cloud hosting (AWS, Azure) or Docker.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
