The AWS EKS Consultant will support setup, installation, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of Kubernetes environments—primarily Amazon EKS on AWS, EKS Anywhere, and OpenShift. This is a customer-facing, hands-on role requiring expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code practices, ideally in financial/trading applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup, install, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS, EKS Anywhere, OpenShift).
- Perform BAU operations: monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage Linux systems as part of the container platform.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools.
- Automate provisioning via IaC tools.
- Coordinate with development and infra teams to ensure smooth deployment.
- Document Kubernetes environments and processes.
- Provide technical support, estimates, and documentation.
- Work closely with vendors and manage incidents.
- Drive continuous improvement and business value.
- Design and implement highly available and secure EKS clusters.
- Manage container lifecycle, upgrades, disaster recovery.
- Integrate observability tools and ensure compliance with security frameworks.
Experience:
- 12+ years overall IT infrastructure experience.
- 8+ years in Kubernetes/EKS architecture and operations.
- Strong hands-on with Amazon EKS, EKS Anywhere, ECS, Fargate, OpenShift.
- Experience with Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of security tools (Aqua, Prisma, IAM), AWS networking, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Strong Linux system admin and DevOps background.
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with BFSI infra projects and global delivery (onsite/offshore).
- Proficiency in CI/CD, ITSM tools, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
- Linux certification
- Preferred: ITIL certification, training in ITSM tools (Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint)
