Job Summary – Sr. .NET Web Developer (Wisconsin DWD)
- Serve as Sr. .NET Web Developer for a high-priority modernization project at the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
- Lead application design and development efforts, including integrating with internal and external third-party systems.
- Support database technology migration from Oracle to Azure SQL, including data conversion.
- Build and maintain cloud computing environments, primarily leveraging Azure technologies.
- Analyze legacy code and system requirements to inform modernization and migration.
- Provide technical guidance on best practices for documentation, unit testing, and cross-testing.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to redesign and simplify user experiences and workflows in line with modern standards (e.g., material design libraries such as MudBlazor).
- Oversee and participate in technical writing, documentation, and requirements analysis.
- Utilize ASP.NET Core (v6-8), Azure SQL, and GitHub for version control and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Participate in change management, structured analysis, and design of both transactional and batch web/client-server applications.
- Ensure application security, compliance, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Utilize strong oral/written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support project goals.
- Hybrid role based in Madison, WI, requiring current residency and onsite presence as needed.
