Job Purpose:
Responsible in leading, planning, and overseeing all Project Close-out Activities, ensures effective coordination with PMTs, Operations and Assets to establish proactive and early alignments through the project phases in progressive manner till transition to operations, and also to act as primary focal point for Close-out processes and operational readiness following the demobilization of PMTs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the division responsible for Project Close-out across Projects.
- Establish and implement standardized strategies, procedures and reporting mechanisms.
- Coordinate closely with stakeholders to ensure early effective alignment on transition, progress, handover and start-up requirements.
- Oversee the preparation, tracking and completion of all project close-out deliverables, and drive the progress early in the project phases.
- Act as the single point of accountability for Operations interface during the transition phase.
- Ensure streamlined demobilization for project teams while maintaining continuity and integrity of documentation and lessons learned.
- Provide guidance and leadership to close-out teams to achieve timely and quality project closure.
- Monitor close-out performance metrics and proactively resolve issues to avoid delays or non-compliance.
- Ensure accurate handover of project documentation, warranties and as-built records to asset owners and Operations.
- Lead interface with Audit, HSE and Quality functions to ensure compliance requirements are met during the close-out phase, report progress of all assigned projects on a frequent basis to management and advise improvement areas.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
- 12 years’ experience in multiple project functions and assignments, e.g. project management, engineering, construction, procurement, in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 years of Project Management leadership in a Major Oil & Gas Project.
- Extensive experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
- Broad experience and demonstrated competence in managing all phases of project execution including start up and handover, and managing technical issues.
- Intensive experience managing different phases of project execution and with multiple stakeholders.
- Broad knowledge in project planning, scheduling, cost control, project gating system, project execution plan, risk management, change management, and handover and closeout processes/procedures.
- Extensive knowledge across engineering disciplines, international engineering standards, specifications, design, and execution methodologies
