Network Engineer

A leading client of ours - a prominent employer in the North East - are on the lookout for a Network Engineer to join their team. Within this role you will be responsible for supporting the IT team as well as looking after the current network infrastructure that is in place.

This is a permanent position that offers no sponsorship.

You will work closely with a number of key stakeholders in the IT team and your input will be taken when it comes to improvements needed in the system. Due to this, you should be able to show a high level of stakeholder engagement skills and be an effective communicator.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for looking after the businesses current infrastructure
• Be on hand as a point of escalation for complex IT issues
• Provide updates to senior stakeholders with regards to upcoming IT changes within the business and act as an IT advocate across the business

You should have:

• At least 3 years experience within Network Infrastructure Management
• Possesses in depth knowledge of environments including WAN, LAN, Routing, VPN and Firewalls
• Hold experience of managing network security policies
• a track record of implementing new systems and technologies within a fast paced and dynamic environment.
