AWS Cloud Engineer

• 12 month initial fixed term contract with the option to convert to permanent

Our client is on the lookout for a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to build, optimize, and scale their cloud infrastructure with precision and innovation.

Requirements:

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available AWS environments
• Automate infrastructure using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot cloud-based issues across services
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and integrate DevOps best practices
• Ensure compliance and security through effective IAM policies, encryption, and auditing
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver cloud-native solutions
• Stay ahead of AWS updates and continuously improve our cloud strategy

Requirements:

• 5+ years in AWS cloud engineering supported by AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) would be beneficial
• Strong grasp of core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and serverless architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline)
