About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Network Engineer for a short-term 3-month contract to support ongoing network operations and projects. This role serves as a stop-gap resource and requires hands-on experience with Juniper and Palo Alto technologies. The successful candidate will be based in Brisbane and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide network engineering support across switching, wireless, and firewall environments
• Configure and troubleshoot Juniper networking equipment, including MIST wireless solutions
• Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including PAN-OS configurations
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure network stability and performance
• Document network changes and configurations clearly and accurately

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Juniper switching and wireless (MIST)
• Strong working knowledge of Palo Alto PAN-OS
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks within tight timelines
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills

Desirable Skills:

• Exposure to SD-WAN technologies

Certifications (Nice to Have):

• Palo Alto: PCNSA or PCNSE
• Cisco: CCNA or CCNP
• Juniper: JNCIA or JNCIE
