Network Security Engineer

We're looking for a Network Security Engineer located in Brussels to design, protect, and evolve complex IT infrastructures. Step into a high-impact role where your expertise in securing and optimizing networks will shape the backbone of mission-critical systems.

Activities:

• Handle service requests and provide 2nd level incident response
• Contribute to root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous improvement
• Support lifecycle management of network infrastructure
• Assist in designing and configuring secure network solutions
• Maintain and update network documentation and configuration changes
• Develop and implement network monitoring and management tools
• Migrate systems into production and automate operational tasks
• Build custom tools and dashboards to enhance network visibility
• Define metrics to monitor and optimize network performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Networks, or Telecommunications
• 8+ years of experience in large-scale network operations
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
• Proficiency with routing/switching (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, VPNs, MPLS
• Experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Check Point, FortiGate)
• Multi-vendor knowledge (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet)
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
• Fluent in English (C1 level)
• EU citizenship

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of container networking (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience with network telemetry and SDN/virtualization (NSX, Cisco ACI)
• Certifications in CCNA, CCNP, NSE4

The activity will be performed in Brussels, 3 days a week onsite.
