Ritchie Bros., the world’s largest auctioneer of commercial assets and vehicles, is now looking for a Software Developer and a Senior Software Developer to join their Mascus team – a key part of RB Global’s product family!

Key responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you will join Mascus’ international development team and work in a small, collaborative group focused on enhancing and maintaining the inventory management system and scaling up the newly launched webshop platform. The team consists of skilled professionals working together to deliver and evolve Mascus' digital platforms.

In this role, you will contribute to technical implementation across both frontend and backend. You’ll work with technologies such as C#, .NET, SQL, React, and Microsoft WebForms, supporting both the gradual renewal of the existing platform and the development of new features. Your daily work includes implementing and maintaining functionality, participating in technical planning, and improving code quality and performance. As a Senior Developer, you will also help mentor junior team members, share your expertise, and contribute to a collaborative and accountable engineering culture.

We require you to have:

• Relevant degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or equivalent
• 3–5+ years of experience in software development, preferably with a fullstack approach, focusing on building and maintaining web applications
• Hands-on expertise with backend technologies such as C#, .NET, SQL, and Microsoft WebForms, as well as frontend development skills with React or similar JavaScript frameworks
• Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English

We consider as an asset:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS)
• Mentoring experience or technical leadership in a team setting
• Understanding of deployment pipelines or DevOps practices

Practicalities:

In this full-time and permanent position, you will be employed directly by Ritchie Bros. The start time in the role is as soon as possible. You can work remotely, but we hope you are able to visit the Helsinki office a couple of times per month to meet your team and colleagues. As you will be working with the US-based teams and projects, we hope you have the flexibility to participate in meetings at around 5-7 pm Finnish time when needed. The base salary in this position ranges between 3500–4000 €/month for Software Developers and between 4500–5000 €/month for Senior Software Developers, and will be negotiated individually.
