Java Software Engineer

We’re seeking an intermediate-level Java Developer (headcount 4) to be part of an ambitious, data-driven initiative with one of our key clients. The core technology stack includes Apache Spark running on top of HDFS, with Java as the primary development language.

This role is ideal for developers looking to grow their career in Big Data engineering and scalable data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications for large-scale data processing
• Work with Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark and HDFS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver performant and scalable solutions
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews
• Develop and maintain integration tests, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java
• Proficiency with modern Java features (e.g., lambdas, streams, futures)
• Solid understanding of Maven, Git, and integration testing
• Basic experience with Linux and scripting using bash
• Working knowledge of SQL or related query languages (e.g., HQL)
