Census Expert

We are hiring Census Expert to join one of our major clients based in Doha, Qatar.

Role Overview

The Census Expert will provide strategic, technical, and operational guidance for the successful design, and execution of the Administrative Census 2025. The expert will work closely with government stakeholders, data-owning entities, and project teams to ensure census readiness, methodological integrity, and compliance with international standards (e.g., UN Principles and Recommendations for Population and Housing Censuses).

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Demography, Economics, Public Policy, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in population censuses, including at least 1 administrative-based census project.
• Demonstrated knowledge of administrative registers, data integration, and population coverage methodologies.
• Familiarity with international standards such as UN Recommendations, SDMX, and statistical confidentiality principles.
• Strong understanding of government statistical ecosystems, especially in the GCC or similar regions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Work experience with national statistics offices, UN agencies (UNSD, UNFPA), or global census programs.
• Knowledge of Qatar’s or other national administrative and statistical landscape.
