Freelance Web Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE

A web developer is needed to support the development and expansion of a multilingual Social Protection Portal built on WordPress. The project involves implementing custom modules to manage members, volunteers, and a social eShop that supports vulnerable groups. Additional responsibilities include integrating application systems and third-party services such as payment gateways, CRM tools, SMS gateways, and an osTicket-based helpdesk system. The developer will work from detailed briefs and wireframes provided and will collaborate closely to ensure the platform meets high standards for security, accessibility, and responsive design. The role is ideal for someone interested in the nonprofit sector and open to potential ongoing collaboration.

Requirements

• Experience with WordPress, including Multisite and Multilingual setups
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom functionality
• Familiarity with Elementor Pro and WooCommerce
• Ability to develop and optimize modules for user management and eCommerce
• Experience integrating payment gateways, CRM systems, SMS services, and osTicket
• Understanding of accessibility, security best practices, and responsive web design
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to collaborate
• Experience in nonprofit or social-impact projects is a plus
• Remote work; location not restricted
