SENIOR FULLSTACK ENGINEER, EARLY-STAGE TECH STARTUP, $130,000 - $150,000 per annum + EQUITY, FULL-TIME HYBRID, SYDNEY CBD

SENIOR FULLSTACK ENGINEER – RAILS / REACT / HIGH OWNERSHIP / PRODUCT-FIRST MINDSET / STARTUP-DRIVEN / SYDNEY

• 5+ years’ experience with modern Fullstack development (Rails + React preferred)
• Serious ownership mentality - you want to build something, not just ship tickets
• Passion for early-stage start-ups and product-led thinking
• Salary: $130K - $150k + meaningful equity options
• Hybrid role: Sydney CBD HQ, 2–3 days in-office

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You’ll be the go-to technical voice alongside the CTO, contributing across the stack and shaping the product and platform from the ground up.

• Build and maintain scalable systems using Ruby on Rails and React
• Lead architectural and infrastructure discussions
• Take features from concept through to deployment — end-to-end ownership
• Collaborate directly with product and design
• Participate in roadmap and product direction conversations
• Help shape a high-performance engineering culture

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…..

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strength across both frontend and backend (ideally Rails and React)
• High personal accountability - you own your work
• Experience in product-focused or start-up environments
• Based in Sydney and open to hybrid work (2–3 days/week onsite)

IT’S NICE TO HAVE…..

• Prior experience in early-stage start-ups or lean tech teams
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, AWS, Terraform
• Systems thinking and an interest in shaping technical direction
• Appetite for responsibility, autonomy, and being part of something early
