bMonkeys is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform/DevOps Engineer (freelance or consulting employee) to support a public institution in Brussels.

We are looking for a talented Senior Cloud Platform/DevOps Engineer who is ready to take on the challenge and elevate cloud capabilities. Become part of the mission to transform government services with the power of the cloud.

2/ Role & responsibilities

As a Senior Cloud Platform/DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), responsible for managing and evolving our client’s cloud platform.

• Ensure IT solutions are implemented in line with business and technical Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) requirements and aligned with the overall IT strategy.
• Document implementations using Azure Wiki and MS Visio, and communicate effectively with involved teams.
• Guide colleagues and product teams in developing on the cloud platform.
• Act as a facilitator between product teams and cross-functional teams.
• Integrate development, testing, and operational (CI/CD) aspects into your vision.
• Share knowledge and implementations during internal transfer sessions.

3/ Profile

• Certified as Azure DevOps Expert (MS AZ-305)
• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep and Terraform) via Azure DevOps
• Strong experience with Azure services: Microsoft Entra ID, App Service, API Management, Application Gateway, Azure Monitor, etc.
• Expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with containerization in the cloud (AKS)
• Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio
• Very good knowledge of IT market trends and ability to stay up to date
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Creative and result-oriented, proactive in proposing new ideas and improving skills
• Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Visio
• Structured working style with a focus on achieving optimal results
• Initiative-driven and motivated by challenges in an evolving environment
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project-based work and change management
• Skilled in PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python

Plus:

• Certified in Terraform (HashiCorp Cloud Engineer Certification)
• Experience in people management within development/engineering teams
• Experience in migrating on-premise infrastructure to Azure
• Certified in project methodology
• Certified in ITIL processes (ServiceNOW)
