Senior Project Manager (M&E)

A Senior Project Manager (Mechanical & Electrical) is required in Galway for a large construction project. Our client is a leading electrical and mechanical services contractor. They operate across all sectors of the construction industry, including Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Commercial, Hotel & Leisure, Public Sector, and Energy. They are now seeking to recruit for a large project in Galway city and are looking to hire an experienced Senior Project Manager (M&E), to play a key role in its successful delivery. They are also looking to recruit an electrical & mechanical foreman / site manager and both a mechanical project manager and an electrical project manager.
Role of Senior Project Manager (M&E):

• Attend project start-up meetings and manage all Mechanical and Electrical aspects, delivering the project on time and within budget.
• Familiarise yourself with all the details and specifications of the project.
• Collate technical submittals, ensuring they are issued and followed through until approval.
• Manage labour tracker.
• Maintain Progress Report weekly, reporting and managing any changes/variations.
• Liaise with main contractors and the client-based site team.
• Oversee coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment.
• Ensure adequate materials are always available to complete the project.
• Ensure construction and commissioning programmes are in place for the job and implement the commission plan on site.
• Manage handover process and maintain Document Management System.
• Project-specific scheduling.
• Attend meetings as required with Subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Attend general site meetings and action any points raised.
• Communicate any innovative project-specific works to the Contracts Manager

Qualifications

• Extensive Project Management experience gained across the M&E industry.
• Successful track record of delivering large-scale M&E projects, on time and within budget.
• Experience of managing large teams, including PMs, Site Managers, Foremen etc.
• Qualification in Construction/Project Management is preferred.
