System Engineer - IBM ACE/MQ

We are seeking an experienced ESB System Engineer to join our clients team in Luxembourg.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of IBM ACE and MQ platforms, ensuring the reliability and performance of our middleware infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the health, performance, and availability of ESB infrastructure and services
• Provide support and maintenance for IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Transformation Extender (ITX), IBM MQ Series, and WSO2 Micro-integrator on Linux OS
• Perform middleware patching and upgrades
• Participate in failover and disaster recovery tests
• Automate manual processes using Ansible and Azure DevOps pipelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with ESB services
• Document integration solution designs, configurations, and deployment procedures
• Coordinate issue resolution with middleware provider support teams

Required Skills and Experience:

• IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)
• IBM MQ
• Scripting tools (Bash, Python)
• Web services testing tools (SOAP UI, Postman)
• DevOps tools (Git, Jira, Azure DevOps)
• Log aggregators (Splunk, ELK)
• Programming knowledge in Java

Preferred Qualifications:

• IBM Transformation Extender (ITX)
• Experience with SWIFT message processing (MT and MX formats)
• Development of data transformations using ACE, XSLT, or eSQL
• Experience with MQ, SFTP, SOAP, REST message flows using IBM ACE
• Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols
• SQL knowledge
