Description
Amazon's Network Management team plays a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, dynamic international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently to ensure the very best customer experience. As a Senior Network Manager in the Tactical Network Planning team, you will be responsible for leading large network transformations that drive cost, speed, attainment, and sustainability benefits across the end-to-end transportation network. You will work cross-functionally, collaborating with leaders from first, middle, and last-mile to inform decisions in topology and timing design. You will sit at the intersection of business and tech, serving as the primary user of Amazon's latest network design technology and informing future tech enhancements. By optimizing our network design you will make Amazon's customer experience even better and our business more energy and cost efficient.
Key job responsibilities
Being a Network Manager for Amazon involves a great deal of hypothesis testing and data-driven decision making. Decisions in this role impact both short-term and long-term. As a Network Manager, you'll be required to drive innovative solutions to Amazon's most pressing Middle Mile network design needs. This will require you to engage collaboratively with several different teams from ATS, GTS, and AMZL as you identify potential network optimizations, test and validate their business case, and lead design. No two days will be the same, and having so much variety in your role means you will learn something new every day.
About The Team
Amazon couldn't deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you'll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology, you'll help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions. They are key to making Amazon more innovative and efficient.
We put safety first as our people are our priority. And we use the expertise of our people to get packages to their destination - quickly, conveniently and sustainably.
