Work Location : Mississauga - onsite
Responsibilities:
• Supporting datacenter networks implementations and operations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure maximum network updates
• Understanding and supporting client data center networks globally
• Advise modern technologies and design changes to clients as appropriate
• Execute software upgrades, device hardening, standardization, and cleanup
tasks
• Maintain Datacenter Network devices inventory
• Maintain datacenter network diagrams UpToDate using Visio.
• Attending high severity technical bridges, Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Fulfilling requests, Resolving Incidents in adherence with SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis and closing problem tickets.
• Act proactively on alerts/incidents generated by network monitoring tools.
• Supporting tasks related to Configuration management, Change
management, Vulnerability management, patch management etc.
• Support EOL/EOS devices refresh projects.
• Coordinate with OEM technical support to resolve complex issues.
• Collaborate with Customer network team, HCL teams deployed globally.
• Must train and support L1/L2 engineers about Datacenter network
infrastructure.
Technology Knowledge • Hands-on experience with proficiency in managing large scale datacenter
networks comprised of various technologies.
• Extensive knowledge to support installation
configuration, administration, and advanced troubleshooting of datacenter
networks
• Knowledge of implementing and troubleshooting complex layer two
technologies such as VLAN Trunks, VTP Ether channel, STP, RSTP and MST.
• Hands on in Cisco catalyst, Nexus, ASR, ACI platforms.
• Hands-on in High availability like VRRP, GLBP, HSRP, Security features like
AAA, WAN protocols like OSPF, BGP. Stack wise, VDC, VPC.
• Packet capture and analyzing skills
• Should be able to independently troubleshoot complex issues in LAN / WAN
infrastructure.
• Should be able to perform root cause analysis independently.
• Ability to manage high pressure while troubleshooting major outages, high
severity technical bridges and escalations.
• Strong technical skills and Hands-on in Cisco datacenter switches, routers,
ACI, Nexus, routing/switching architectures.
• Must have knowledge of SDWAN (Viptela / Meraki / Velo)
• Excellent and methodical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of WAN Optimizers will be a plus.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP and IPAM solutions (Optional)
• Knowledge of F5 Load balancing (Optional)
• Knowledge of Wireless Technologies (Optional)
Technical Certifications:
CCNA is must, should also be certified in one of the below.
• CCNP -Datacenter
• CCNP – Routing
• CCNP – Switching
• Cisco SDWAN (ENSDWI)
Qualifications
• 11+ years of hands-on experience with proficiency in managing large scale
datacenter networks comprised of various technologies.
• Extensive knowledge and Hands -on required to support installation,
configuration, administration, and advanced troubleshooting of datacenter
networks.
• Should be able to perform root cause analysis independently
• Ability to manage high pressure while troubleshooting major outages, high
severity technical bridges and escalations
Soft Skills
• Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written).
• Good documentation skills.
• Should have excellent customer relationship skills.
• Able to perform under high pressure, demanding situations.
