Furthermore, SFC Energy co-develops and manufactures highly complex and reliable coils & linear drives for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. SFC is operating from its R&D and manufacturing locations in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and Almelo, the Netherlands.
As a Firmware/Software Embedded Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging system software. Analyzing and enhancing efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources of our Power Supply products.
In your role, you will:
- Translate the customer’s specifications in order to plan, design, develop & implement firmware of embedded devices;
- Perform code reviews and testing of firmware releases to use new technology in designs;
- Work closely with electrical designers and customers to resolve issues and maintaining stable firmware;
- Providing technical support and training to the firmware development team;
- Integrate and validate new product designs and analyse and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources;
- Design and maintain software components to be used as a standard library;
- Design/select and implement software tooling to improve efficiency or company processes;
- Support our test development department by delivering software tooling to read-out/calibrate the products;
- Create technical documents like systems diagrams, test reports, user manuals, software protocols and debug procedures.
What should your background look like?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems design and firmware development;
- Solid experience in programming C or C++, debugging, embedded systems and code reviews;
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and documentation skills;
- You can take ownership and responsibility and ability to work well in a team environment;
- You speak Dutch and English.
