The Role

• This role is a remote-first role, designed for someone who thrives and values the flexibility of working in a dynamic, and digital environment.
• You will be working directly with our founders, forming the backbone of our Engineering team to help shape and build products to assist with the property buying journey.
• You will have technical authority and autonomy whilst working on greenfield projects and experimenting to move the needle on how Australians buy property.

What You’ll Be Doing

This will read like a shopping list with lots of keywords but it does give you an indication of what our current tech stack looks like.

• Build and maintain back-end services in Python
• Work with PostgreSQL for data storage and queries
• Design and consume REST APIs
• Build intuitive, responsive frontends with React.js
• Deploy serverless functions with AWS Lambda via the Serverless framework
• Use no-code/low-code tools like Retool, Make, and Airtable to prototype and deliver internal tools quickly
• TLDR; You will building sh*t that kinda/sorta works quickly and effectively to be market-tested and iterated upon.

About You

• 2+ years of full-stack development experience
• Strong Python skills with real-world backend API development
• Proficiency in React for frontend work
• Hands-on experience with databases – Relational or NoSQL
• Comfortable deploying and managing apps on AWS
• Practical experience (or strong interest) in no-code tools like Retool, Make, and Airtable
• Startup mindset: you’re hands-on, flexible, and biased toward action
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
