Python Developer (URGENT)

Location: Sydney, Australia

Role: Python Developer + (SRE about 10-15%)

Client background: Financial services industry, specifically focusing on market making and trading technology. They provide liquidity in various financial markets, including equities, options, and fixed income.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Python Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Sydney. This role is a massive priority, and we are looking for a candidate who is eager to work across the entire tech stack and engage in various projects.

While this position includes some components of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), the primary focus will be on development work using Python.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software applications using Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.
• Provide 10-15% support related to SRE functions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience in software development at least 3 years+ minimum.
• Good communication skills; ability to engage with stakeholders confidently.
• Willingness to learn and adapt across multiple technologies and environments.
• No specific cloud engineering experience required; understanding of on-premises solutions is a plus.
