Accountabilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the data privacy framework to ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable regulations
- Serve as the primary liaison to global privacy and security teams, aligning local initiatives with corporate strategies
- Interpret complex privacy laws and convert them into actionable policies, procedures, and technical guidelines
- Manage processes for data subject access requests (DSARs) and other privacy-related inquiries efficiently
- Assess and mitigate privacy risks related to third-party vendors and data processors, including contract reviews
- Design and deliver privacy training and awareness programs to cultivate a privacy-conscious culture among employees
- Monitor evolving privacy laws and industry best practices to proactively recommend necessary updates
- Collaborate with IT and security teams on risk assessments, security measure reviews, and incident response planning
- Support compliance audits and contribute expertise for standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 13485
- Strong expertise in GDPR and practical application of data protection regulations
- Proven experience in establishing and managing comprehensive data privacy frameworks
- Ability to bridge legal requirements and technical implementation, effectively communicating with both legal and technical stakeholders
- Solid understanding of information security principles, risk management, and relevant security concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of simplifying complex privacy issues
- Self-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-paced, agile startup or corporate environment
