Job Title: Data Scientist / Simulation Modeler

Location: Remote – Anywhere in Europe

Duration: 6-12 Months

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Data Scientist / Simulation Modeler to join our digital and data science team. This role will focus on developing and maintaining simulation models that mimic our pharmaceutical supply chain, helping to identify bottlenecks and optimize operations through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into simulation modeling objectives.

• Design, build, and validate simulation models of pharmaceutical supply chain processes.

• Debug and refine simulation models to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Analyze input and output data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

• Use simulation results to propose actionable solutions to supply chain bottlenecks.

• Document modeling assumptions, methodologies, and findings clearly for cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field; or at least 5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in Python, Simio, and SQL.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Experience in building and validating discrete-event or agent-based simulation models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry or with complex supply chains.

• Familiarity with supply chain planning, logistics, and manufacturing operations.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Work Environment

This is a remote role with flexibility to collaborate across time zones. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or stakeholder workshops.
