Junior Software Frontend Engineer (Remote Friendly)

📍 Location: Braga, Portugal (Remote friendly). You must reside in Portugal.

We're hiring a Junior Software Frontend Engineer with a focus on web development to join our team at WIP Technology Centre in Braga, Portugal! We're looking for a proactive and supportive team player with up to two years of experience who is passionate about technology.

This is a remote-friendly position, but the initial three-month onboarding will be face-to-face at our Braga office.

🧑‍💻 About the Role:

• Collaborate with our research and development team on web-based software.
• Focus on frontend development, with room to explore backend technologies.
• Build clean and maintainable user interfaces using modern frameworks.
• Participate in product and development meetings.
• Document technical flows using diagrams and flowcharts.

✅ What we're looking for

Requirements:

• Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Familiarity with React, ideally with Next.js or Vite
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and transport protocols (HTTP, messaging, etc.)
• Exposure to SQL/NoSQL databases
• Experience with PHP/Laravel
• Understanding of REST APIs
