Business Analyst – UI/UX, Screen Mock-ups, UML, SQL – Hybrid – Geneva, Switzerland

We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in screen mock-ups and UI/UX to join a leading global organisation in the financial services sector.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Geneva, Switzerland.

The position offers a hybrid remote setup – 3 days per week in the office, and 2 days remote.

A professional level of English is required, along with a minimum B1 level of proficiency in French.

Responsibilities:

• Requirements Analysis: Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• UML & Solution Design: Create high-quality UML diagrams (use cases, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.) to specify system architecture and business processes.
• Screen Mock-ups: Design and present UI mock-ups using tools such as Balsamiq, Figma, or similar, to validate functionality with business users.
• User Documentation: Draft clear, user-friendly guides and release documentation to support successful rollouts.
• Workshops & UAT: Facilitate workshops with end users to define and document User Acceptance Test (UAT) scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Testing: Support UAT activities – including test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting. Should be proactive in helping users define and structure test cases.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
• Banking & Trading Expertise: Utilise prior experience in the banking domain; knowledge of trading systems is a significant advantage.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Familiarity with SQL and data structures in banking applications – must be able to run queries and validate data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of UML for documenting requirements and designing solutions
• Proficiency in creating and iterating screen mock-ups using tools like Balsamiq, Figma, or similar
• Experience drafting clear, concise user guides and release documentation
• Demonstrated ability to conduct workshops with business users to gather requirements and define UAT scenarios
• Solid understanding of software testing principles and hands-on experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Prior experience in the banking sector; exposure to trading environments is highly desirable
• Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced setting
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
