IT Innovation Manager - Innovation Lab and Banking Digitalization

The Innovation Lab leads the bank’s internal hub for experimentation, ideation, and rapid prototyping. This role is responsible for scouting emerging technologies, validating new business models, and accelerating digital initiatives through agile methodologies. The XXX acts as a catalyst for change, bridging business needs with technological possibilities to shape the future of banking.

YOUR ROLE

Innovation Lab Leadership

• Define the lab’s mission, operating model, and innovation themes aligned with the bank’s strategic priorities.
• Build and manage a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, analysts, and product owners.

Ideation & Experimentation

• Facilitate ideation workshops, design sprints, and hackathons to generate and refine ideas.
• Oversee the development of prototypes, MVPs, and proof-of-concepts for digital banking solutions.

Technology Scouting & Partnerships

• Monitor fintech trends, emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, open banking, etc.), and startup ecosystems.
• Establish partnerships with startups, tech vendors, and academic institutions to co-develop solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with business units and IT to ensure alignment and scalability of lab outputs.
• Present innovation outcomes and insights to senior leadership and governance bodies.

Governance & Impact Measurement

• Define KPIs to track lab performance (e.g., number of experiments, conversion to production, customer impact).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards during experimentation.

YOUR PROFILE

• Master’s degree in computer science
• 7–10+ years of experience in digital innovation, product development
• Knowledge of banking processes, customer journeys will be an asset
• Hands-on experience with agile, lean startup, and design thinking methodologies.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for experimentation and rapid learning.
• Ability to translate complex technologies into business value.
• Strong network in the fintech and innovation ecosystem.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate
