Senior Java Engineer (f/m/x)

Position Overview

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

We are seeking a Senior Java engineer to join our C360 team in Investment Banking. You will be responsible for critical, globally used platforms within Deutsche Bank. You with be very proficient in Java services design and development, deploying with cloud native technologies such as containers and Kubernetes. In additional to Java, you have strong SQL data engineering.

You will provide a leading example to other engineers in delivering applications efficiently and safely, using DevOps and automated QA principles. We value independence, innovative approaches and a passion for quality and self-improvement.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing of new features, enhancements to application components
• Debugging and fixing the application components
• Delivering components to production within SDLC controls
• Managing application risks such as open-source vulnerabilities, scalability, security
• Mentoring team members to foster a culture of excellence
• Working with architects, business stakeholders, and other technology teams to deliver solutions effectively
  
  
  

Skills

• Hands-on development experience, with Java 17+, Spring Framework, RESTful Services, JDBC and ORM, using Maven/Gradle
• Enterprise integration patterns via services, messaging, scheduling
• Performance analysis and tuning the code
• Creating and reviewing solution designs, and implementation estimations
