About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Manager – K9 Security to join the resort’s Security team.

The Primary Duties And Responsibilities Of This Role Are

• Make independent decisions under pressure as a subject matter expert.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and maintain strong ties with emergency services.
• Conduct operational reviews and benchmark studies to identify gaps and adopt best practices.
• Recommend and implement technologies to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Develop policies, procedures, and strategic objectives with measurable KPIs.
• Create optimized manpower and equipment schedules aligned with business goals.
• Prepare budget forecasts and submit purchase orders in line with operational planning.
• Design modern, compliant documentation to support operational accuracy.
• Oversee the development and delivery of K9 training programs and curricula.
• Ensure K9 training aligns with policies, procedures, and operational needs.
• Supervise K9 handlers and training teams, maintaining certification records.
• Identify training gaps and propose targeted improvement strategies.
• Coordinate off-site training with third-party vendors and manage related logistics.
• Lead the Field Training Officer (FTO) program and recertification initiatives.
• Maintain K9 facilities and manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
  
  

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in K9 explosive detection training and handling (required).
• Preferred experience in security management and prior law enforcement or military leadership of K9 units.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in project management, decision-making, and delivering high-quality results on schedule.
• Deep understanding of canine behaviour, training techniques, and explosive detection protocols.
• Skilled in maintaining K9 health, managing equipment, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Experienced in evaluating K9 performance and coordinating emergency response operations.
• Technically proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to shift-based work schedules.
