Senior Planner (Metro Line Infrastructure Project)

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services in construction. We are currently seeking a Senior Planner for a Construction Project in Norway.

Position Details

• Estimated Duration: 12 months. Upon project completion, we aim to assign the employee to other projects to ensure continuity.
• Location: Oslo, Norway. (100% on-site)
• Project: Metro line infrastructure project.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including 1 hour for lunch.

Position Description

We are looking for a Senior Planner to develop and manage detailed project schedules for a metro line infrastructure project in Oslo, Norway. The role focuses on coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with contractual standards, and supporting strategic decision-making in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, from planning through to completion.
• Coordinate with engineers, site managers, and multidisciplinary teams to gather key planning information.
• Identify critical paths, major milestones, and key project activities.
• Periodically update the physical progress of the project and generate progress reports.
• Analyze deviations, propose corrective actions, and support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct what-if analyses to assess the impact of potential changes or risks.
• Participate in planning, coordination, and progress meetings.
• Ensure schedules comply with contractual standards and client requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning, preferably in infrastructure or metro projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Strong coordination and communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to analyze deviations and propose effective corrective actions.
