Middle QA Automation Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• To contribute to agile product development as an active, hands-on member of a Scrum team (developers, DevOps, architects, PO, service manager, etc.)
• To contribute to cross-cutting topics of interest through the community of practice
• To work in alignment with the overall department test strategy, tooling, and tech stack, and to help maintain and improve them
• To understand, implement, and update the team’s test strategy
• To ensure appropriate testing tasks are scheduled during releases and iteration planning
• To configure, use, and manage test environments and test data
• To report defects and collaborate with the team to resolve them
• To document and maintain test cases, checklists, and important product information
• To prioritize and organize test cases based on their importance and relevance (e.g., smoke/sanity test suite, regression suite)
• To maintain good knowledge of how the product works end-to-end

What you need for this

• 2.5+ years of proven experience as a QA Engineer
• 1+ years of proven experience with test automation
• Understanding of testing in an Agile context and test lifecycles
• Experience with API testing and knowledge of basic HTTP methods
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Java and JavaScript
• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Knowledge of at least one CI/CD tool
• Experience with Cypress
• Knowledge of Azure
• Understanding of Kafka (message brokers)
• English proficiency sufficient for regular communication with the team (speaking and writing)

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of performance testing
• Knowledge of security testing
