IT Workplace Engineer

As an IT Workplace & Collaboration Engineer, you will play a central role in shaping and supporting the digital workplace infrastructure of our client, a Swiss Food & Beverage manufacturing group with presence all over the country.

Key Respon

• Operating and continuously developing our collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams (incl. Teams Phone), SharePoint, and video conferencing systems.
• Managing our end-user devices (notebooks, tablets, smartphones) using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, covering the full lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning.
• Automating software deployment and lifecycle management for approximately 200 applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, SAP Client).
• Driving process automation for onboarding/offboarding, licensing, and role management using Azure AD, Intune, PowerShell, and HR system integrations.
• Leading and contributing to exciting projects in areas such as Azure, Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC), and endpoint management—working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Providing 2nd and 3rd level support (including participation in on-call services) to ensure service levels are met and issues are resolved efficiently.
• Creating clear, sustainable documentation—from operations manuals to emergency procedures.

Key Skills

• A completed education in (business) informatics (HF/FH or equivalent).
• Several years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Intune/Autopilot, Azure, and UCC/Teams Phone in a complex enterprise setting.
• A passion for automation and scripting, with proven skills in PowerShell, Power Automate, and related tools.
• Experience in 2nd/3rd level support, as well as engineering and managing IT projects—ideally in an industrial or corporate context.
• Very good communication skills in both German and English; Italian/French are a plus.
• A strong service mindset, team spirit, and the ability to think strategically and act proactively.
