Sr. Backend Engineer (80% Backend / 20% Frontend)

We’re looking for a skilled Backend Engineer (Full stack preferred) who is passionate about backend development and comfortable supporting frontend tasks using Vanilla JavaScript when needed!

Location - remote from Canada

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Primarily developing backend applications (80% Backend / 20% Frontend)
• Building backend services using Java, Spring Framework, and RESTful APIs
• Solving complex problems with strong Data Structures & Algorithms skills
• Working with Node.js and GraphQL (some experience preferred)
• Supporting frontend development with Vanilla JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring
• Solid understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms and excellent problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Vanilla JavaScript (no frameworks required for basic frontend tasks)
• Familiarity with Node.js and GraphQL
• Comfortable working on frontend tasks (basic UI development) as needed
• Experience with eCommerce or seller listing systems is a nice to have, but not required
