Solution Architect

The Digital Experience unit at Digia is made up of top-tier software development professionals who deliver technically excellent and user-friendly mobile, web, and e-commerce services using agile methods. Solution Architect for the banking and insurance sector!

The position is based in Helsinki or Oulu, but our remote work policy is flexible within the borders of Finland (though we do hope that visiting the Helsinki or Oulu offices once a week would be ok for you).

Here's what you'll be getting your hands on:

• Architecting and implementing the technical framework 
• Building an omnichannel API architecture in Azure
• Planning and implementing the interim architectural phases that are necessary to achieve the end goal.
  
  
  

What you'll need to succeed:

• The experience and insight to understand business needs and translate them into technical enablers.
• Several years of experience in at least senior developer positions and a track record of empowering a large number of developers to produce great software with the latest web technologies.
• Expertise in the banking and insurance sectors is considered a significant advantage
• A knack for designing operational models to achieve the end goal.
• The ability to sell and execute organizational and process changes on enterprise scale, including:
• Experience in change management as part of your daily toolkit
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English (working proficiency in Finnish is an advantage)
• Deep technical expertise (+5 years front end software architecture and +5 years hands on web development with the latest technologies)
• Thorough understanding of web standards and technologies, including but not limited to:
• Web service security, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance
• HTTP1/2/3, gRPC(-web) and GraphQL protocols
• You have competence and experience with the latest Azure solutions related to web and front-end technologies
• Quick learner of new programming languages and tools
• Key words: Web Technologies, Modern IAM architecture and OIDC, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, Accessibility, Web Analytics, Design Systems, Microsoft Azure, Implementing custom DevOps tooling
  

For high-security classified projects, we require the ability to pass a basic security clearance. For our clients in the finance and insurance sectors, a credit check is also required.
